Homeowner Fatally Shoots Three Masked Teenagers
   September 17, 2019

ATLANTA, GA – A man fatally shot three teenagers wearing masks this a.m. in Atlanta. One had a gun, police suspects.

The shooting took place around 4 a.m. at a house in Rockdale County. Three teenagers between the ages of 15 and 16, were involved in the incident. Two of them were brothers and all of them died at the scene or moments later at the nearest hospital.

The Rockdale County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the deadly event to try and make sense of this triple shooting Monday morning.

Police forces have not yet released much information about the incident, but they have confirmed that a homeowner opened fire and killed the three teenagers that were wearing masks. Apparently, at least one of them had a gun.

Investigators attested that one of the teens took out a gun and started to shoot at the neighbors moments before the homeowner fired back. Police arrived at the scene after a 911 call during which the homeowner asked for help.

The sheriff said that one of the boys was by the driveway and the other two a bit further up the road. He also mentioned the homeowner being outside his house when the shooting began. Inside the property, there were three other people, including a woman, when the owner shot the masked intruders.

The homeowner is a man and neighbors said he drives a truck for a living, and he is highly protective of his mother. Hence, he owns a semi-automatic rifle. Several guns were found at the scene, but deputies still don’t know who owned them.

One of the neighbors in the area declared earlier today that he heard the gunfire and ran out to try and help. “It was five shots and then it sounded like a handgun. Then I heard somebody have an assault rifle. And it was a slew of shots that came out,” he said. Another one heard one of the boys yelling for help after being shot.

No one has been arrested or charged yet, but authorities are still interviewing the neighbors and asking for anyone with information to call the Rockdale County Sherriff’s Office.
